Who we are
Outdoor Prime is run by Team 37 LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Outdoor Prime, 307 E State Hwy 71, Llano, TX 78643. Questions about your data go to support@outdoorprime.app.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Your password — stored hashed by our sign-in provider, never in plain text.
- Your saved locations and GPS pins. We use your device’s location only if you allow it.
- Trip feedback: your “How was it?” verdicts and the hours you tap.
- Your subscription status.
- If you sign in with Google, the name Google shares with us.
- If you join the waitlist, the email address you leave.
Card numbers go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them. Stripe gives us your billing name, ZIP code, card brand, and the last 4 digits of the card.
How we use it
- To run the service.
- To send account and billing emails.
- To answer support requests.
- To improve predictions. Trip feedback is used to calibrate the models.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell personal data.
- We don’t run ads.
- We don’t share your saved spots. Your pins are private.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we use your email address only to tell you about our launch and major news. Every one of those emails has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Where it’s stored, and for how long
Your data is stored in the United States.
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Backups roll off within 30 days after that.
Who else handles it
These services help us run Outdoor Prime. Each gets only what it needs:
Supabase
Sign-in and our database.
Receives: Your account (email and hashed password), saved locations and pins, trip feedback, and subscription status.
Vercel
Hosts the website.
Receives: Every page request, including your IP address.
Stripe
Payments and sales tax.
Receives: Your email and the card and billing details you enter on Stripe’s checkout page.
Resend
Sends our email.
Receives: Your email address and the message we send you.
Open-Meteo, National Weather Service, NOAA, and NDBC
Weather, marine, tide, and buoy data.
Receives: Our servers ask them for a map coordinate or a station number. They never learn who you are.
Open-Meteo Geocoding
Finds a place when you search by name.
Receives: The place name you type, sent from our servers.
OpenStreetMap Nominatim
Names a pin you drop.
Receives: The pin’s coordinates, sent from our servers.
OpenFreeMap and NOAA chart tiles
Draw the map and nautical charts.
Receives: Your browser loads map tiles from them directly, so they see your IP address and the area of the map you view.
Adobe Fonts
Serves two of the typefaces on our pages.
Receives: Your browser loads the fonts from Adobe, so Adobe sees your IP address and the page address.
Only if you choose Continue with Google.
Receives: Google confirms who you are and shares your name and email address with us.
Cookies and tracking
We use no analytics, no ad trackers, and no third-party cookies. Our own cookies do three things:
- Keep you signed in.
- Remember which of your saved spots you last picked.
- Remember that you dismissed the “set your first spot” card.
Your browser also stores one setting on your device: whether the nautical chart layer is on.
Your rights
Anyone can ask us for access to, a correction of, an export of, or the deletion of their data. Email support@outdoorprime.app.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself in the app. Deleting removes your account, email address, saved locations, and pins.
We keep trip feedback only in de-identified form — with no link to you, and with the location coarsened — so it can keep improving predictions. Stripe keeps billing records as tax law requires.
You can also email support@outdoorprime.app and we will delete your account within 30 days.
Age
Outdoor Prime is for people 18 or older.
Changes to this policy
We will announce changes to this policy by email, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change.
